How to use ShiftRunner.io
You can sign up from either the My Shifts or Schedule view:
Either way, a modal will open showing the available time slots for that day. Select one or more slots and click Sign Up. Your name will appear on the schedule immediately. New signups start as Tentative until confirmed by an organizer.
Use the toggle at the top of the schedule to switch between three views:
Shows only your signed-up shifts, grouped by day. This is the default view when you log in.
Full grid of all volunteers across every time slot. Useful for seeing who else is signed up and where open slots are.
A color-coded heatmap showing how full each time slot is. Green means nearly full; red means many spots are still open.
In the Scheduleview, click a filled cell to view or manage that volunteer's signup for the day.
In My Shifts, tap any shift card to open a detail panel for that day. From there you can:
You can also click your own name in the Schedule grid to open the same panel.
All signups are confirmed by default. If you're not sure you can make a shift, you can mark it as tentative to let organizers know.
Use the Mark as tentative toggle when signing up, or tap the shift in My Shifts and toggle it from the detail panel. Tentative shifts appear with a striped pattern on the schedule so organizers can see which slots are uncertain.
Organizers can restrict when volunteers can add or remove themselves from shifts. There are two ways this can happen:
If a slot is locked for you but you need to make a change, contact the event organizer — they can always add or remove shifts on your behalf.
Click or tap your name in the top navigation bar to open your profile. From there you can update your display name, email address, and phone number.
Your last 4 phone digits are used as your login PIN, so updating your phone number will change what you need to enter at sign in.
If you have a question that isn't covered here, use the Contact Us page to reach the event organizers.
